Position Summary
The Incentive Analyst I is responsible for managing incentive plans for field positions. This role will work directly with finance and business leaders.
Duties

Complete the calculation process for monthly, quarterly and annual bonus payouts of defined field incentive plans, ensuring timely and accurate payouts. This includes: reviewing sales data to ensure accuracy of reporting and completing manual adjustments.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of records that are loaded into the incentive system data base each month.
Investigate, follow up and respond to field inquiries regarding incentive payouts/calculations and sales reporting.
Review and recommend appropriate action for any exception request.
For any personnel change (promotion, new hire, transfer or termination), manually complete appropriate commission in compliance with current incentive plan document.
For product and service promotions, complete initial cost modeling, review options and based on approved promo, provide appropriate payouts.
Complete various ranking and summary reports for defined businesses on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Provide the accounting team information on actual payouts and amounts to be accrued, by business unit, including forecasting future incentive payouts.
Complete ad hoc reports, as requested, e.g., average payouts, performance history and product sales.
Assist in providing special reports as required from internal and/or external audits as well as assist with on-site audit activity as require.
Assist Business partners in developing quotas and work with the Finance Team, to ensure alignment with business plan numbers
Maintain a quota data base for defined business responsibility; distribute individual quotas to employees and/or management; update and adjust quotas based on business issues, as required
Ensure online directories of incentive plan files are maintained accurately and up to date; this includes: plan design, monthly reporting, load files, exceptions, quotas, manual calculation records, and for incentive plans that are not on automated system, maintain binders of the appropriate information (as defined above)
Document procedures and processes for defined plans
Identify improvement opportunities, and assists with implementing changes

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting
3-5 years experience in accounting and/or compensation plan design as well as administration. Experience working with commissioned sales plans is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with commissioned sales plans is highly preferred.
Demonstrated strong excel skills – including the knowledge and use of advanced formulas, pivot tables and importing and exporting data.
Other computer skills to include MS office and ability to access/pull information from data warehouse.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization, demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
Demonstrated ability to work with large numbers and volumes of numbers accurately, and in great detail, along with an ability to maintain that accuracy under time constraints in a multiple task, and a multiple priority environment.
Results orientated with demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and solve problems while remaining objective.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work toward and achieve strict deadlines.
 Ability to create ad-hoc reports through Informatica.
