Overview: The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager will set the recruiting strategy and manage the delivery of TA services for your assigned businesses/functions. This is a key strategic manager of people role reporting into the Director of Talent Acquisition. The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition will be a partner and contributor to the functional roadmap and evolution of the function overall. This role has three main strategic leadership components, (1) to be a mentor/coach to a large team of recruiters, (2) to own senior level business relationships within the company, and (3) to be a thought leader and project owner for initiatives that support the growth and advancement of the TA model at STERIS.
This role will be based at our Mentor Ohio corporate HQ and will be on a hybrid work schedule.
You will coach, develop and guide a team of recruiters toward best-in-class delivery of recruiting services.
You will be a role model and champion for our hiring processes in support of a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
The team you will lead will be geographically dispersed and you will be expected to foster an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and connected to the information and happenings within the business and function
You will be the business relationship manager for your assigned group of leaders within the business. This includes building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders (Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners).
The business relationship manager is also responsible for scouting out the forecast and business initiatives and plans that impact future talent needs and resource requirements.
You will work closely with the Director of TA and other Senior TA Managers to influence and shape short- and long-range recruitment strategy.
You will use data to inform and influence your customers and recruiters. This includes identifying opportunities for course correction/pivoting and to celebrate wins!
This role will require occasional preparation and deliver of senior management TA reviews aimed at informing business leaders on the progress of key recruitment initiatives and hiring metrics.
This role will help manage the overall partner and vendor landscape.
You will be asked to contribute to the ongoing improvement of Talent Acquisition processes and the implementation of recruitment technology and innovation.
You will work to ensure recruiting processes and practices are compliant with legal requirements and guidelines.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive recruiting experience, including management of Recruiters
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams of TA professionals
MBA highly preferred
Goal-oriented, self-starter who can prioritize activities to achieve results in a rapid-paced, changing business environment
Strong people management skills with a focus on leading a high performing team
Strong process orientation with ability to contribute to the design of recruiting processes for a complex audience
Excellent project management skills across both the design and implementation of large-scale recruiting projects
Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to translate business priorities into recruiting priorities, strategies and plans
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate multi-dimensional concepts in a simple way to diverse audiences
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to effectively work and collaborate across geographies, functions, and levels with a service mindset
Ability to grasp complex ideas and change direction quickly in a fast-paced environment
