STERIS is searching for a highly engaged HR Professional to join our dedicated HR team as a Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager will support our employees and our values to achieve the mission of creating a healthier, safer world through innovative HR practices. As our Human Resources Manager, you will drive HR strategy while providing HR leadership, consultation, and advocacy support to our employees located in Grand Prairie, TX, Spartanburg, SC and Minneapolis, MN locations.

Collaborate with business and/or functional leaders in areas such as organizational assessment, organizational structure, workforce planning, and change management to strengthen overall organizational capability.
Advise leadership on all Human Resources issues and initiatives impacting the Company’s business goals and objectives.
Lead the Talent Assessment (succession and individual development planning) function for the business segment, including driving the execution of action plans and ensures leaders and employees use available tools to have meaningful performance alignment, results attainment and feedback discussions.
Partner with managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and encouragement of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work.
Assist in the hiring of new employees by performing various recruiting activities in partnership with the talent acquisition team, including staffing coordination and job requisition management.
Counsel and/or coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations.
Drive employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive company culture while balancing employee concerns with all levels of company goals.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field.  SHRM certification preferred.
5-7 years of progressive Human Resources Business Partner with demonstrated success in all generalist areas of HR support, including talent acquisition, performance, talent management, compensation, HR systems, processes and procedures, succession planning, employee development and training, and employee relations.
Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands-on exposure to the full mix of HR functions (preferably in a large, complex corporate environment)

Preferred Experience

Participation in a Lean culture a plus.
Experience with Successfactors or similar HRIS preferred, leveraging an employee and manager self-service model.
