The Role
The Life Sciences Equipment & Service Intern will be a key contributor to enabling growth of our Field Service Organization.  Responsibilities will include optimizing the quality and quantity of candidates for field service positions, identifying, and resolving common causes for turnover, capitalizing on employee engagement survey feedback, supporting the implementation of new field service representative promotion guidelines, and conducting training for acquired employees.

Key Internship Information:

Paid Internship 
Target start date is May 16th, 2022 and end date is August 5th, 2022
Full-Time (40 hours) – This is a full-time internship Monday-Friday 
Location – This is a 100% onsite role and requires interns to work at our Mentor, Ohio facility 

 
What You Will Do

Create employer branding and targeted promotion to increase the quality and quantity of candidates for technician positions nationwide.

Create compelling content to attract candidates to STERIS
Promote career opportunities to candidates with targeted skillsets
Optimize job postings to entice qualified candidates

Mine turnover data to identify common causes and create actions to mitigate
Utilize employee engagement survey feedback to:

Facilitate focus group discussions
Recommend action plans to key leaders, and
Communicate changes to survey participants

Education Requirements

Rising Junior or Senior
Human Resources major, or major in Business with Human Resources emphasis
At least two semesters in study of human resources content

 
Experience, Knowledge or Skills

Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite, primarily Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Previous work experience in Human Resources, either in a business or inside of the university’s academic program, preferred. 
Skilled communicator, writer and collaborator
Analytical in approach to assigned project work and comfortable suggesting process improvement suggestions
