Position Summary
The Pricing Manager is expected to apply pricing expertise and data analytics to bring forward insights and recommendations to business leaders that make a measurable impact on growth objectives. Ensure that pricing decisions are made according to pricing policy and within the timeframe required. Lead special projects to transform and improve the pricing team processes aligned with business objectives. Play a key role in driving transformation to a scalable pricing process, supported by cloud-based tools and efficient workflows. Develop a deep understanding of alternative contract structures & negotiating strategies as they pertain to terms and conditions, pricing tiers, rebates, and fees. Support mechanisms that manage and drive adherence to contract obligations. Ensure that pricing and discount tables are appropriately established, maintained, and secured. Ensure that sound routines are in place that result in correct and timely payment of rebates, fees, and resolution of charge-backs. The role will report to the Commercial Finance Director and will work closely with the global finance, sales & marketing, legal, and product management teams.

Define and implement a competitive pricing strategy based on business and financial objectives, market and competitive analyses, and pricing capabilities.
Act as a subject matter expert providing strategic pricing process, system and tools leadership, guidance, management, and training, working with multiple senior stakeholders bringing analytical rigor, strategic insights, and business judgment to pricing discussions.
Lead the annual price rolls while collaborating closely with senior leadership and other departments to develop the most effective pricing tactics taking into account profit, competitive, and customer considerations in the given environment.

Counsel the sales team to ensure the pricing requests are consistent with the pricing strategy supported by Sales and Business Unit leadership.
Proactively partner with Product Managers to gather competitive pricing information and customer price updates for the Americas, EMEA, APAC regions.
Manage all customer discounts, promotional pricing, convention pricing, and program contract pricing.
Oversee weekly and monthly customer pricing/margin reporting. Track customer and national promotions, identify margin gain/loss and pricing variances. Provide recommendations on adjustments needed to increase profitability.
Review and analyze monthly dealer chargeback reports, manage exception reporting, and lead resolution efforts for any identified discrepancies.
Maintain central filing system to track customer and all dealer contract updates
Oversee the Chargeback and Out-the-door data management.
Manage and develop a pricing team of 3 direct reports, provide expertise and guidance to other team members, coordinate resources.
Support Intercompany pricing activities.

Education Degree
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or AccountingRequired Experience

10 to 12 years of experience in Finance and Pricing, with at least three years in a manager role.
Expert in complex analysis and modeling of Price / Volume / Mix scenarios, using historical sales, market data, reflecting current & expected market dynamics.
College degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
Strong analytical skills: Recognizing patterns in data, information, or events, drawing logical conclusions, and making recommendations for action
Strong communication skills: Listening effectively, transmitting information accurately, understandably, and actively seeking feedback non-defensively
Planning & organization: Anticipating and drawing inferences about the future and structuring resources and actions in a logical manner. Establishing a course of action to ensure work is efficiently completed.
