Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption. There are select Customers who do not accept any exceptions. Unvaccinated Associates may be excluded from working at a Customer site, require routine testing with an approved exemption (if accepted by the Customer) or have limited Customer access impacting their ability to remain employed. Additionally, we may be required to meet state mandates on COVID-19 vaccination, exemptions and/or booster requirements. This position is a Customer-facing role that falls under a state or CMS mandate.
Manages assigned territory to achieve company order, revenue, and margin objectives by selling STERIS capital products into pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, research and laboratory, medical device, cosmetics, food and beverage and dietary supplement markets.
Builds and maintains positive Customer relationships through written and verbal correspondence and direct personal contact. Manages time and travel priorities while providing market feedback and territory based financial forecasts monthly. (Open to candidates that lives in Portland, OR, Seattle WA, Oakland, Sacramento, & San Jose, CA).
Achieve assigned financial metrics via sales of STERIS capital products while managing time, travel, and investments in territory.
Interact daily and effectively with Customers by phone, email and in person to handle commercial requests, technical inquiries, and product related complaints.
Work closely with STERIS Customer Operations, Applications Management and Field Service teams to ensure equipment is quoted, delivered, installed, and demonstrated correctly and on schedule with no erosion of margin.
Communicate Customer concerns, industry trends and competitive activity across STERIS business units and functions.
Maintain an accurate monthly sales forecast accompanied by feedback to sales management to support projections.
Periodically organize and/or attend relevant trade shows and professional development seminars.
Handle other duties and responsibilities as they are periodically assigned in compliance with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies while demonstrating the highest standards of professional conduct.
Minimum two years documented sales experience; prior Scientific capital related sales experience preferred.
Business Acumen – Results oriented with the skills and desire to meet Customer and STERIS needs. Negotiates favorable outcomes with an emphasis on ROI.
Technical Knowledge – Understands STERIS and competitive products along with Customer applications.
Communication – Effective communicator via speech and other methods who differentiates themselves with structured follow up and active listening skills.
Team Orientation – Openly shares information across all departments and business units while assisting peers with learning and developmental efforts.
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical skills.
