Position Summary
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing the complex sterilization validation projects for all AST facilities. This role will involve Customer service, coordination and technical/consultancy support. Responsible for all Customer-focused technical/consultancy support with regards to sterilization validation, focused on project management for complex sterilization validations, supporting sales, marketing and production. Utilization of commercial possibilities for Customers of sterilization validations (min dose, max dose, packaging/device and microbiology) in UK and Ireland.

Directs and administers current and new business activities by developing plans and strategies to meet customer requirements and expectations meanwhile maximizing profit.
Providing current and prospective customers visits and tours at the facilities.
Providing project management services for new and existing customers by providing consultancy, evaluation and coordination of the projects.
Monitors implementation of plans and strategies by collecting, analysing and preparing reports for review by appropriate company management.
Research, mapping and exploiting commercial opportunities with both existing and potential new customers in conjunction with Commercial teams
Explores and develops new technical services and collaborations in validation services (in close collaboration with Laboratory Managers)
Working closely with sales, laboratories, AST facilities (Including validation teams), RTC and packaging testing facilities to meet Customer expectation and continuously improving the validation processes.
Coordination of the members of the project team and give operational guidance.
Strives for continuous improvements by analysing new or alternative ways to improve operations; incorporating staff suggestions into analysis.
Maintains professional skills, knowledge and abilities by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.

Adherence to regulatory agency, ISO13485, ISO17025, GMP and Quality systems policies and procedures.
Continually meet with Customers to maintain current understanding of their needs and expectations
Probes to fully uncover and understand Customer needs, objectives and goals and effectively matches our services to assist in solving Customer issues, and by visiting Customers if required, building and develop professional long-term Customer relationships.
Consistently acts in a manner that meets or exceeds Customer expectations while considering the reasonableness of request and fairness to STERIS.
Serves as the Customer liaison within STERIS to resolve Customer issues or concerns that may be voiced during customer contact
Other duties as assigned.

Education Degree
Bachelor’s DegreeRequired Experience
1. Minimum of two years of technical validation service experience in a scientific industry:  

      -Customer experience in a contract service preferred

     – Technical validation experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.

2. Proven track record and demonstrated initiative in driving results

3. Ideally microbiological testing experience

4. Strong focus on servicing each customer, ensuring their expectations are met, providing solutions that meet their needs

5. Ability to successfully build rapport with both internal and external Customers

6. Solid work ethic, goal-driven, creative problem solver

7. Excellent verbal and written communications skills
