The hourly pay rate for the Driver and Operator position is $25.41, plus shift differential (as applicable). Annual merit bonus and incentive plans are offered. This position works a 1st shift and offers overtime potential based on business needs.
What you will do with us:

Protects Customer product by assuring proper processing and handling according to operating procedures; monitors process cycles and control systems to ensure operation within Customer, quality, regulatory and internal company specifications; reviews and completes all appropriate processing documentation.
 Minimizes downtime by monitoring processing operation and associated equipment as scheduled; conducts minor equipment repairs and refer major repairs to shift supervision or Maintenance personnel.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by monitoring environmental control systems and inspecting equipment for unsafe conditions and reporting to supervision as required; generates maintenance work orders for repairs; responds to process and equipment alarm conditions and acting within operational and safety guidelines; conducts area housekeeping on a daily basis. 
Maintains flow of product by loading/unloading product into processing rooms and/or vessels; may repackage product onto pallets; stages processed product in shipping storage area.  
Ensures safe and timely deliveries by transporting and delivering Customer product, maintaining established schedules and in accordance with operation and safety guidelines.

Maintains and operates company vehicles in a professional and safe manner adhering to established policies and procedures and DOT rules and regulations; monitors and reports vehicle performance/repairs to supervision as required. 
Exhibits a commitment to the AST shared values of Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement through ensuring defect-free workmanship, assisting others to meet the Customer’s needs, searching for efficient and effective ways to reduce waste, being active and accountable for Customer satisfaction, and satisfying the Customer’s needs with a sense of urgency.
Contributes to a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, the GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher-level management and performs other duties as assigned.

Demonstrate ability to meet the requirements of the job

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

You will be a great fit if you can:

Pass a background check and drug screen
Demonstrate the ability to follow safety rules and be safety aware at all times
Demonstrate the desire to learn, be productive and contribute to the team
Demonstrate reliability and dependability
Show a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehousing/manufacturing environment (preferred)

Pass the company Operator training program and maintain certification
Show certification to operate material handling equipment including forklifts
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Demonstrate computer literacy
Demonstrate a basic understanding of sterilization principles
