Position Summary
The Senior Systems Analyst administers activities associated with Business Systems to ensure department goals are achieved by obtaining requirements and executing appropriate changes in existing system processes. Develop and update appropriate training modalities to support new software releases, and process changes, and to drive ongoing adoption of systems. Provide on-going technical, development and process support for Business Systems and other related systems at STERIS.
Duties
•    Leads Requirements Gathering sessions to formulate and define objectives using various research and fact-finding techniques, such as story mapping, prototyping, questionnaires, surveys, interviews, sampling, observation, working sessions, and walkthroughs. This includes Business process analysis with data, people and technology considerations being addressed.

•    Configures and implements departmental I.T. technology systems.

•    Performs testing and evaluation, including development lab activities for new technology solutions.

•    Interfaces with software vendors and internal accounting department to facilitate the purchase of hardware and software.

•    Assist with configuring and installing software for systems, applications and servers including, but not limited to, server operating systems, virtual servers, virtual applications, e-mail systems, file and print systems, virus defense, web services and remote access.

•    Assist with configuring and installing system hardware such as servers, backup systems, load balancing appliances, disk drives, storage area networks and appliances.

•    Will serve as the project lead on technical projects based on the business plan. 

•    Assist with creating and submitting proposals and implementing approved project plans.

•    Assist with the development and submission of budget proposals and funding requests. 

•    Provide technical support and maintenance of I.T. systems.

•    Troubleshoot and resolve problems with system configurations and hardware.

•    Provide escalation support for System Administrators.

•    Performs system administration functions 

•    Maintain standardization and documentation of technology and processes.

•    Develops and implements training plans to support applications as required.

 
Required Experience
•    Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related technical degree  

•    Certification on Salesforce platform is preferred

•    5+ years in software development and design of Salesforce based applications, including high volume / transactional enterprise systems.

•    5+ years of experience in system analysis and design.

•    5+ years of experience developing on the enterprise Salesforce platforms with significant usage

•    3+ years domain experience in PLM, Quality systems.

•    Understanding of design patterns and object-oriented technologies.

•    Understanding of UI technologies such as CSS, HTML5, JavaScript and common scripting packages such as jQuery.

•    Knowledge of ERP systems.

•    Exposure / basic understanding in web application security practices and techniques and experience in remediation of potential application security threats.

•    Experience with Salesforce tools and technologies.

•    Strong communication skills, including executive presentation and conflict management

•    Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of other technical leads.

•    Ability to work in a matrix team environment with both internal and 3rd party development teams (onshore / offshore).

•    Experience working in a variety of development methodologies including Agile / SCRUM or other Iterative methodologies
