Position : Senior Broadcast Engineer

Peloton is looking for a Senior Broadcast Engineer to join our growing Production Ops team in our new studio complex in Central London. Peloton has two new state-of-the-art broadcast facilities in both London and New York.
The Senior Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for supporting and running the London facilities, maintaining the brand standard broadcast quality, while keeping an eye on the future for new technologies to implement as well as providing remote support to our New-York facility as and when needed. This role has real room for growth at Peloton and responsibilities will continue to expand as new content is developed and implemented across the Peloton Portfolio of Products.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Advanced knowledge with extensive experience of video, audio and lighting technologies in a studio environment
Strong electronics and IT/networking skills
A creative problem solver both in a team environment and individually while under pressure
Excellent people skills
Outside Broadcast experience would be an advantage due to the nature of dealing with a range of broadcast systems in isolated environments
Experience of Cerebrum, Dante, RTS, Yamaha, Quantum, and Ross Video products would be an advantage
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and engineering updates at our New London Flagship Studios
Provide remote support for our New York Studio
Responsible for the continued function of all studio broadcast systems including facility LED walls
Work closely with operational and production staff day to day.
Operation of Peloton’s in-house Content Management Systems
Proactively ensure that the facility is fit for purpose and maximise up time.
Respond to emergencies as it relates to broadcast operations
Quickly diagnose and implement fixes to maintain continuity of service.
Ensure Studios are broadcast ready post studio reassignment via Cerebrum
Set up and rigging of studio cameras, lighting and set.
Set up, repair and maintenance of studio, recording, editing and transmission equipment.
Maintain checks of audio and video quality, as well as setting across all studios
Conduct weekly inspections of control rooms and studios
Work with Production Techs to maintain list of ongoing issues and prioritize repairs
Analyse fault trends and issues, establishing root causes and resolutions.
Follow through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates with the Repair equipment in house where possible, coordinate with vendors for other issues
Maintain network and system documentation and change logs
Source and maintain appropriate spare parts.
Source and maintain technical drawings and equipment documentation and configuration logs.
Work with 3rd party vendors and service providers for high-level repairs
Coordinate with the Director of Production Operations on new projects and installations
Prepare proposals and costs for developments and improvements.
Oversee installation of new systems and equipment
Design and build custom interfaces as required.
Install and configure new equipment.
Perform acceptance testing to appropriate industry standards.
Be aware of and comply with health and safety policies and procedures contributing advice as appropriate
HND / Degree in TV technology or engineering discipline or demonstrated equivalent or a detailed Industry work history to the desired level
At least 5+ Years of Broadcast Engineering in a live environment whether it’s TV or Live Streaming
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in all areas of technical production and familiar with all studio production equipment including Content Management, Systems, Broadcast Audio, Video and Control Systems, Video Servers, Storage
Area Networks, & RF Systems, Editing and Post Production Systems, etc.
Understanding of existing SMPTE television standards with an eye towards SMTPE 2110
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Adequate colour vision and stereo hearing
