Job Details

The EHS Analyst is responsible for day-to-day and long-term operation of all elements of EHS compliance and best practices aligned with federal, state, local, and corporate standards. Position involves a high degree of interface with operations, engineering, and human resources.
Incumbent reports to EHS Manager. Organization, follow-through, and communication skills are critical factors in daily administration of this position. The incumbent will use overall knowledge of Peloton’s mission and strategies, the mission, and strategies of EHS, and sound technical judgement to ensure the EHS organization satisfactorily fulfills its stated objectives.

Conduct formal and systemic reviews of operations and activities to determine applicability of federal, state, local, and EHsS regulations, requirements, and best practices
Measure, monitor, and analyze existing and new tasks for hazards and introduce, for management consideration, initiatives that proactively minimize or eliminate risk to employee health and safety or the environment
Conduct job hazard analyses, ergonomic evaluations, PPE evaluations, etc. and recommend preventive/corrective actions 
Provide regular reports to the EHS Manager regarding compliance status, preventive/corrective actions, and results of audits, inspections, and investigations
Regularly monitor and report EHS metrics to interested parties
Review industrial hygiene needs and coordinate monitoring
Continuously review and improve training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors
Regularly monitor regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance
Facilitate risk assessments relative to existing tasks, proposed changes, and new equipment to recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures
Facilitate incident investigation for incidents, near hits, unsafe conditions and collaboratively develop preventive/corrective actions
Support development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) with EHS considerations
Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into EHS program development, including 5S
Flexibility to support off-shift teams with EHS programs or training as needed
Lead routine EHS compliance training and new hire orientation sessions
Effectively interact and connect with all levels of the organization to provide EHS support
Manage communications with vendors and contractors
Prepare or facilitate reports to regulatory agencies
Communications must be clear and accomplished in a positive manner


Bachelor’s degree, preferably in OHS, IH, or Environmental Science. Professional Certifications a plus (e.g., CSP, CIH, CMM, MESH). 
Minimum two years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing facility
Background in fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects that may involve several stakeholders with little supervision
Knowledge of OSHA/NCDOL, EPA/NCDEQ, health and wellness, and other pertinent federal, state, and local laws pertaining to EH&S
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suites, and other online collaboration platforms

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Regularly working in office and manufacturing environments to accomplish stated work objectives. Exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, forklift traffic, heights, and other manufacturing/facility operational processes will be required to achieve job functions. 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light physical effort in an office and manufacturing environment.
