Job Details

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting production and logistics operations as well as all facility infrastructure within the Precor/Peloton facilities.  Internally this includes coordination with our manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, engineering, and administrative teams on initiatives and day-to-day work.  Externally this role manages and collaborates with our vendors, suppliers, and trades contractors.  

Actively pursues continuous improvement and ease of doing business to meet or exceed customer needs and to further overall company goals and objectives.
Understands philosophy/execution of Total Productive Manufacturing {TPM}, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and methods to eliminate waste and maximize uptime.
Responsible for understanding the Precor Safety Policy and for practicing safe work habits on the job.  Must also attend regularly scheduled department and safety meetings.  Willing to actively attend professional development courses
Assists in the planning and installation of electrical systems, electrical apparatus, and electrical/electronic components on industrial machinery.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems, electrical apparatus, and electrical/electronic components on industrial machinery e.g. CNC equipment, mills, lathes, presses, saws, conveyors, welding equipment.
Is willing and able to acquire working knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and other specifications as required.
Uses hand tools, power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment, i.e., multimeters, amp clamps, megohmmeters.
Installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery and equipment, such as robots or programmable controllers, under the direction of senior maintenance technicians.
Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems; possesses good, well-rounded mechanical skills.
Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
Ability to set up and operate metalworking tools such as lathes, mills, or metal saws in order to fabricate or repair parts is desirable.
Metal fabrication and welding skills are desirable.
Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications
Other duties as required.


Education – High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
7 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment 
Valid WA Driver’s License required
Electrical Certificate/License/Qualified Electrician or other key Maintenance component standing, or other technical industrial training & certification preferred.
Must be able to work a 4-10 schedule.  Ability to be on-call (rotating weekend schedule)
Equipment Maintenance — performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. 
Flexibility – able to work on and troubleshoot HVAC, CNC, Robotics, Powder Coating and key systems assigned to organization.
Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools. 
Troubleshooting — determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. 
Equipment Selection — determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. 
Installation — Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. 
Operation and Control — controlling operations of equipment or systems. 
Operation Monitoring — watching gauges, dials, or other indicator to make sure a machine is working properly. 
Technology Design — Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs. 
Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. 
Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
HVAC – Able to troubleshoot and maintain facility and industrial ventilation systems.
Assists in the inspection and testing of facility support machinery and equipment using electrical/electronic test and other diagnostic equipment.
Requires an understanding of machine functions, blueprint reading, making basic mathematical computations, and exercising judgment to attain conformance to specifications/codes/standards. 
Performs regular safety inspections of various building systems and equipment.
Performs minor repairs to various building systems and equipment.
Is willing to work in overhead areas up to 25 feet by means of man-lift.
Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial powered vehicles.
Assists in the design and fabrication of control panels for tool engineering. 
Completes paperwork as required, e.g. work orders, time sheets, purchase orders, and TQ tracking.
Possesses adequate communication skills.
Possesses above average computer skills.
Procures materials and spare parts from vendors as needed.
Stocks shelves with bin stock items in maintenance supply areas.
Assists in keeping work areas neat and clean.
Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
Proven experience leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles to drive improvement.
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding internal and external customer needs.
Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial powered vehicles.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
Will be exposed to noise in the manufacturing environment (managed under Hearing Conservation).  Will be exposed to temperature fluctuations in a warehouse/shop type environment.  When operating air tools, hands and wrists are exposed to mild to moderate vibration.  Work with or around sharp and hot or cold objects.  Safety glasses and safety shoes are required; gloves and hearing protection are required in select areas; others as necessary.  Safety apparel is provided on the job site.  Minor exposure to hazardous substances may occur in certain areas (while wearing proper PPE).  Will be exposed to hot or potentially dangerous machinery in some areas.  Some outside work with exposure to prevailing ambient weather will occur.
Physical Requirements as follows. On occasion, able to stand for long periods with intermittent walking. Able to lift 30-40 pounds from floor level to waist height repeatedly throughout a 10-hour shift.  Able to lift 30-40 pounds as needed. Ability to routinely spend time using your hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to routinely spend time bending or twisting the body. Spend time kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling.
