The inside Sales Engineer is the primary contact to sustain and develop an important part of our industrial portfolio. This fast-paced technical environment requires Flowserve to acquire new and serve existing customers, to increase its growth and to ensure our market leading position in the BeNeLux region. In this role the inside sales Engineer reports to the Sales Manager Belgium/Luxembourg or to the Sales Manager Netherlands and works in close relationship with different operational entities and other functional stakeholders to promote the best interests of the company and the customer.
This person will be responsible for executing and coordinating all sales activities for the assigned territory/customers in the BeNeLux by securing orders for Service, Repair, Upgrades, Spare Parts but with an emphasis on New Industrial Equipment mainly for Pumps but also Mechanical Seals will be part of the product portfolio.
The goal is to maintain good business relations with the customer base and also develop and establish new customer relations for Industrial Pumps and Mechanical Seals and to further grow the business for Flowserve in the BeNeLux.
This territory/customer based role requires a dynamic, self-motivated individual who understands the local market needs and opportunities and has the ability to successfully communicate to achieve growth. The successful candidate will offer sales experience in both Pumps & Seals and experience in the Industrial, Chemical and Petro-Chemical industry of the BeNeLux. Also a good understanding of the culture and language of the above mentioned area is required.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Minimal Bachelor Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
1-3 years experience in sales or sales support preferably in a B to B technical environment.
Some proven relevant experience in Rotating equipment.
Result / Service driven and customer focused.
Team-player, with well-developed interpersonal and social skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels within the business.
Ability to comfortably talk to others and make cold calls to generate new clients.
Good Written and Oral Communication skills for creating professional documents and giving presentations to interested clients (Dutch/English/French).
IT literate – MS Office, include Excel skills, and computerized Sales systems such as SalesForce.
Commitment to implement best practices in Sales, and motivate others.
Superior multitasking skills, able to manage multiple projects/accounts simultaneously.
An aptitude for learning technical applications.
Good Time Management and Organizational skills.
Ability to Listen to concerns and handle criticism without taking it personally.
Willingness to attend conferences, trade shows, and other events.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Develop relationships with potential and maintain good relationships with existing customers and OEM’s.
Making calls and follow-up clients to understand the individual and unique needs of each customer.
Define and evaluate a customer’s maintenance strategy / processes and identify improvements opportunities through the collaboration with Flowserve.
Setting up specific marketing activities to launch our products in specific markets.
Support/Organize customer events (demonstrations for products and services, Tech-Forums, exhibitions … )
Review all customer inquiry related documents while addressing all relevant technical and commercial requirements.
Offer products at established prices and discounts and in line with Flowserve total sales and product mix objectives.
Develop and maintain good contacts with the Flowserve factories, aftermarket organization and Commercial Operations so customer needs are addressed swiftly.
Provide active support to Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) initiatives.
Support and fully own the FlowForce CRM program for assigned customers and use the program as the primary Sales tool which drives future business growth.
Provide professional communication and implementation of company’s strategies and policies.
