Role Summary

The North American Key Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with an assigned group of existing Alliance End User accounts and Engineering and Procurement Companies throughout North America. This individual will have responsibility for the complete Flowserve Flow Control Portfolio of products. The individual will be expected to foster relationships at these accounts in efforts to expand and grow Flowserve’s revenue with these customers. The Key Account Manager will create a lasting competitive advantage for Flowserve by understanding our products and their applications in our customers’ operations and / or their new project valve requirements. The Key Account Manager will be forward-thinking by identifying opportunities, developing marketing plans, and achieving increased sales over time. Maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and trade organizations in order to establish, understand and solidify purchase agreements, customer alliances and market trends are also key requirements for this position.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree required (technical preferred)
5+ years Industrial Sales Experience with a track record of self-initiated, sustained sales success, Valve Experience preferred – Control or Automated On-Off Valves
Experience managing alliance accounts or large capital projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
Experience with CRM software and account management systems
Ability to travel required, up to 50%
