Role Summary:

M&T Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for planning and executing FCD Product Initiative Portfolio that consists of Research & Development (R&D) and Globalization / Localization efforts. PMO Manager is responsible for leading a team of globally distributed M&T Project Managers of various seniority levels. PMO Manager shall take active part in FCD platform’s strategic planning and advises leadership of projects budget, schedule, resources, and finances. The position shall also identify, evaluate, and improve portfolio and project management processes which may require this position to work across platforms.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Defines strategic direction and focus for the FCD Product Initiative Portfolio to align with business strategy, to reduce project cycle time, to improve on-time-delivery, and to increase overall resource utilization
Partners with Finance function to fully own portfolio and project financials, including planning, execution, cost control and regular reporting
Enables ability to include both waterfall and agile project management tools and processes to minimize risks and maximize return on investments
Provides technical and organizational project management oversight at whole FCD level to individual projects from the start of the Ideation Process (Pre-gate 0), through to project closure (Gate 4)
Working through PM team, the PMO Manager shall ensure projects across the portfolio have clear scope, schedule, budget, and resource plan for execution
Together with PM team, provide guidance on establishing project requirements, identifying, and managing critical paths and dependencies, and supporting M&T, Engineering and Project Management review and acceptance.
Provide guidance on preliminary forecasting of project hours, risk assessment and technical resources required for the execution of projects.
Guide the Project managers and project teams in identifying project risks and develops risk register with accompanying mitigation plans. Ensures collaboration to develop and implement preliminary risk mitigation strategies.
Escalates risks and issues in a timely manner for expeditious resolution.
Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team and external partners.
Coordinates with subject matter experts on issues that may arise during project execution across whole portfolio and is able to review and respond to technical and commercial inquires.
Guides Project Managers and project team on developing the appropriate contingency plans during preliminary phases of projects.
Applies tools and techniques and anticipates changes based on lesson learned.
Provide Governance of timely project schedules and status reports from project team to FCD and M&T leadership.
Develops project roles and responsibilities, seeks out stakeholders and obtains their support for the project, negotiates for resources and motivates team members, and provides input to annual performance reviews.
Communicates team objectives to ensure buy-in and understanding.
Proficient in compiling, analyzing, and presenting project progress to all levels of management on both an ad hoc and routine basis.
Develops project management function and talent.

Requirements :

Engineering or STEM degree with at least 10 years relevant industry experience working in global and / or matrix organization
PMP or certified Scrum Master or another recognized Project Management certification preferred
Strong financial acumen and track record of accountable execution and drive for results
Prior talent management and development experience

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Flow Control, Industrial Valves or similar Engineering experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency, with a customer focused mindset.
Communicates effectively with the full range of internal stakeholders—from associates to leadership and across functions
This role ensures that programs, processes and initiatives within the business unit or function are communicated in a clear and effective manner.
Capable of quickly establishing credibility, influencing constituencies, and persuading professionals at all levels.
Ability to produce professional reports and presentations in keeping with company policies and objectives.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products and some Project Management software tools e.g., MS Project, Planview, Primavera and/or Clarity PPM
Strong time management and organization skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills
