Job Details

Role Summary:

The Precision Assembler will disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble pump parts during the repair process. The position is first shifted, with consistent overtime required. Our shop is always in motion with a steady flow of challenging work and a customer-focused crew.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Use mechanical aptitude to disassemble, clean, and reassemble pumps.
Use hand tools, such as impact wrenches, pry bars, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
Read blueprints and drawings accurately to assemble pumps.
Inspect and verify the quality of finished work with precision measurement tools. Conduct air tests, and Hydro pressure tests.
Enter data to track process steps, parts, materials, and time on routers.
Follow all safety procedures, and wear required personal safety equipment.
Communicate clearly to peers and supervisors about jobs and issues.
Focus on improvement by participating in continuous improvement team activities.

Requirements:

5+ years of general mechanical experience. Trade school training is acceptable in lieu of experience.
Able to read blueprints and shop drawings.
Able to use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Able to use various hand and machine tools.
Basic computer aptitude to learn data entry systems, and to use Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Must have good reading and listening skills to understand work instructions, safety procedures, and company policies. Must be able to clearly report and explain information to others.
Must show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship
Able to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
Be able to stand for long periods of time, and frequently lift up to 25 lbs. Must have a full range of hand and upper-body motion to work with tools and parts.
