Role Summary:

The Project Engineer of Aftermarket Services & Solutions (AMSS) upgrade & repair projects involves the design and development of devices, assemblies, or systems to be produced through production manufacturing processes. Project Engineering roles usually entail activities dealing with issues of project cost, feasibility, quality, performance, reliability, serviceability and customized user features. Addressing these project characteristics may include design, development and transitioning of the product to manufacturing

The Project Engineer provides engineering and technical support to all Services and Solutions personnel, Sales and customers to develop the best possible solutions to aftermarket jobs. Performs technical interpretation of customer/Flowserve specifications, procedures, policies, quality, and equipment reliability to concerned parties

Responsibilities & Requirements:

You will be involved in the following tasks:

Manages design projects involving complex designs, including oversight of resources and technical issues
Demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects and project priorities
Generate manufacturing drawings and documents relevant engineering deliverables and Bill-Of-Materials for engineered or industrial products.
Prepare purchase specifications for buyout items of the project scope. Review supplier documentation for technical compliance with Flowserve /customer specifications or requirements.
Apply Flowserve Industrial programs or solutions like RVX and methods of solving problems and modify existing product designs to meet customer needs and improve product life.
Provide guidance in support of service centers in the inspection & analysis of pump elements.
Works with other internal Design Engineers from various locations to fulfill the engineering deliverables defined in the project scope
Participate in design review process for a given project.
Set up a reliable and accurate engineering planning to realize on time delivery

You are the ideal colleague if you have:

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years working experience in pump industry
Strong PC skills, knowledge of drawing software (AutoCad, Inventor), EIS (Engineering Information System), Windchill PLM, OEPDMS, ERP System like SAP S4HANA etc.
Able to effectively self manage; makes decisions around priorities, and manages several priorities at one time.
Willingness to travel occasionally towards customer or suppliers. Maximum 10% time.
Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) certification, Green Belt preferred.
Ability to work and lead in a project environment with multi discipline project teams.
Excellent understanding of pump applications and types, clear understanding of hydraulic fundamentals and how these relate to pumps and pump.
High standard of written & spoken English;

Team-oriented; Leading values of communication and involvement of others.
Ability to work closely with internal and external customers (face to face or by telephone) and has good verbal and written communication skills
Additional language skills desirable (Dutch, German)
