Flowserve is currently looking for a Project Engineer who will report directly to the CSOF Manager and have responsibility for the day to day running of all assigned projects within the CSOF area.

The Project Engineer will liaise with:

internal and external customers to ensure that the complete contract cycle is successful, ensuring specification and contractual requirements are met and maintained.
the associate in this role will be required to ensure all internal contract management systems are populated with accurate and up to date information reflecting the scope of the contract, and the timescales necessary to achieve successful OTD.
the project Engineer shall remain engaged on assigned orders from P.O. receipt to cash collection, but also will support on technical aspects during order development and any quality issue related to the projects dispatched.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Drive forward high value projects, acting as the key point of contact between Flowserve and our customers throughout the duration of the contract cycle.
Maintain the tracking and control of the on time delivery of major projects, whilst liaising with customers and highlighting possible areas of concern and working on solutions.
Will be required to manage several contracts simultaneously.
Will be required to travel and facilitate ‘kick-off’ meetings with customers onsite, maintaining a high level of customer contact through to completion of contracts.
Lead / Participate in customer and supplier related meetings as necessary.
Populate & maintain the Flowserve MRP system with accurate and on time information on the progression of each project assigned to them.
Ensure documentation OTD & backlog is visible for the given portfolio of projects
Update & maintain progress reporting templates & client communications.
Mitigate risks, monitor project performance and engage management when significant risks are identified and encountered.
Cost awareness of projects within his/her stewardship, including contact variation / margin improvement.
Capitalize on change order opportunities.
Provide daily updates on status of projects, identifying areas of risk and updating the business on progression.
Liaising with external sales and internal departments for all contract related issues.
Provide support in the resolution of technical enquiries related to the handled projects. Help in the resolution of quality issues reported on delivered projects (Root Cause Analysis).
Provide visibility & robust forecasting of billings & progress claims to management team.
Record and distribute Lessons Learned on orders to Project Team and to other Project Coordinators

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Engineering Degree or similar level qualification.
Any formal engineering-based qualification or have an approved apprentice trained route.
Experience of working in the Pump and Seal industry, or other related product knowledge (Electric Motors, etc).
Knowledge of the Project Management role, preferably with a background and hands-on experience.
Customer facing role.
Experience of commercial terms & conditions.
Highly organized and process oriented.
Able to operate in a matrix environment and lead without direct authority.
Excellent communicator.
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Products, MS Project, navigate in ERP system.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to meet both company and customer expectations on orders.
