Role Summary:

The Project Manager leads, manages, and sustains the daily activities for multiple major projects. Major projects are defined by complexity, customer, strategic value and/or dollar value. The Project Manager takes ownership and responsibility for driving key project activities from time of order acceptance through delivery, with support to the quotation and warranty teams.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Accountabilities

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enable achievement of schedule, successful risk mitigation, positive customer experience, accurate forecasting of shipment, adherence to quoted margin, and successful completion of all contractual obligations.
Technical and commercial support throughout the project life cycle, from quotation through final customer acceptance and receipt of payment. This includes coordination with subject matter experts and an individual ability to review and respond to both technical and commercial inquiries.
Quickly and effectively manage issues, engaging multiple departments (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and others) as necessary to drive resolution.
Work closely with Flowserve Parts Manufacturing Centers as well as external shops and suppliers, both domestic and international, to deliver high quality parts in the timeframe required by the project.
Manage and track customer document submittals and approvals, as well as compile final customer documentation at time of shipment.
Preparation and submittal of project schedules and status reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

Position Requirements

Technical background with BA/BS degree required, equivalent industry experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5+ years work experience within Project Management preferred, with experience relating to manufactured, engineered products provided for domestic and international market applications.
Powerful self-driven work ethic, willing to work extended/off hours as needed.
Cross-functional knowledge of manufacturing processes relating to cast and forged materials, welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), machining and fabrication.
Strong organization, communication and facilitating skills with ability to interact with personnel across multiple customers and vendors.
Ability to effectively establish priorities and work to specific deadlines with minimum supervision.
Ability to multi-task in fast paced, high-energy, goal-oriented team environment.
Experience with Manufacturing MRP/ERP Business Systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Project is preferred.
Experience with pumps and rotating equipment preferred.
