Role Summary:

Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all markets (power ,oil & gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical). The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments. The entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.

We are seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for driving a Customer First philosophy throughout the organization. Adhering to Flowserve’s values and business ethics, and Taneytown specific safety standards/guidelines. Embracing and driving a CIP environment & 6S within our team and throughout the organization. Collaborating with team members to resolve any/all commercial & technical issues that arise. Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for successful execution of projects. Successfully balance the triple constraints of each project managed (Scope, Time, and Cost, while incorporating appropriate quality).

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Support on-site meetings, testing, supervision, and visits, as required
Develop detailed project plans/schedules and monitor/control each though use of critical path methodology
Measure and report project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
Enforce effective change control management practices.
Effectively report and escalate key information to management, as needed
Develop the relationship with the client and all associated project stakeholders
Apply risk management techniques regularly, to minimize project risks
Implement lessons learned from current/past projects and share best practices with team members
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Required :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Ability to successfully work in a team oriented and CIP environment
Demonstrated problem solving capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven organizational skills including attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, even where conflicting priorities may exist
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project
English language proficiency

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Prior experience in a similar capacity
Experience with rotating equipment industry
PMP / IPMA certification
Additional language proficiency (Spanish, German, Portuguese or Korean desired)
