Role Summary:

As the Quality Control Inspector for Houston RedRaven Wireless Team, your role is to take responsibility for daily inspections of electronic boards and transmitters that come in from vendors or that are on the production floor. You will interact with the Functional areas including Receiving, Production, Purchasing , Engineering, and Field Service/Repair to evaluate Failure trends , Product quality problems and quality issues based on business priorities decided and communicated by the site Production Supervisor. This is a wide ranging role with a mix of regular and one-off tasks and duties, depending on the needs of the business. This role is also responsible for conducting and enforcing quality control activities by executing all supporting activities of measuring and improving quality as it relates to electrical product assembly and test, and the sustainability of Flowserve products in accordance with the required internal and external quality and safety regulations

Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsibilities

Day-to-day quality inspection functions from initial materials receipt inspections, commercial grade dedication, and in-process inspections all the way to final testing and acceptance of manufactured parts.
Fast, accurate reporting of defects or non-conformities using the Flowserve standard frameworks.
Overseeing and/or verifying compliance to testing
Visually and dimensionally inspecting components in accordance with internal procedures, customer requirements, drawings, applicable codes and standards
Assisting with ongoing Continuous Improvement efforts as art of our Zero Defect philosophy
Assisting with RedRaven Internal Audit / Monitoring Performance teams, if needed
Successfully performing inspections/verifications for internal and external audits as needed
Working as part of a collaborative team, helping other inspectors with inspections as needed, and asking for help when you need it!
Supporting in the cross-training of other inspectors from time to time, to help build and facilitate stronger a more diverse inspection department
Ensure the accuracy of your equipment through proper usage and regular calibration.
Observe all safety, quality, attendance, and company policies/procedures
Able to meet the QC department’s key performance metrics in terms of accuracy and speed of inspections, plus quality of reporting and routing of findings to other teams
Follow all site safety requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of one year of satisfactory performance as a Level I in a similar inspection or test category or class
Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of Safety-related Quality Programs and requirements​​​​​​​
Must have a strong customer focus and project a positive corporate image
Must be a team player, able to problem-solve and work with constructively with customers and co-workers.
Flexible attitude towards working in other areas and overtime if needed.
Extremely detail-oriented
Ability to read and follow written instructions, processes, technical drawings, etc
Knowledge and Ability to read and understand procedures, and applicable material codes as necessary
Good organizational skills, able to establish priorities and work to specific deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment, exhibiting a positive can do attitude.
Advanced experience in Excel, Access, Word and Power Point
Minimum High School graduation plus three years of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities

Preferred Experience / Skills:

ERP System, SAP, Oracle, Windows PRMS
Qualification as a Level III Inspector
ATEX audits
IP Standards 610, 620
Experience and knowledge of Flowserve lines and products
Electrical component production testing and inspection experience#COS
