This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for part-time, on-call Emergency Managers to work out of our Orlando, FL office.  The following locations will also be considered: Birmingham, AL; Tucson, AZ; Phoenix, AZ; Sacramento, CA; Washington, DC; Miami, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Atlanta, GA; Honolulu, HI; Indianapolis, IN; New Orleans, LA; Kansas City, MO; Raleigh, NC; Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, Oklahoma City, OK; Portland, OR; Exton, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; and Houston, TX.  Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
We are seeking individuals who are eager to assist during disasters on an on-call basis as a reservist employee, with the availability to deploy with little or no advance notice and for potentially long durations.   
Your Impact

Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide.
Deploy to Emergency Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster.
Perform a variety of duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions.
Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility.
Support Emergency Management Project Management functions. 
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications

HS Diploma
7+ years experience, including a 1+ years experience on emergency management deployments, working in a Response or Recovery field operations role.
Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques
FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study – Professional Development Series certification (IS-100/102/200/700/800/815)
Travel Required – Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations, which could be up to a minimum of 30 days.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management (or related field)
Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience
Previous experience working at Field Staging Areas or related environment
40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER certification, which would also require being able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
OSHA 10 or 30
1st Aid/CPR/AED
