WSP is currently initiating a search for Graduate Mechanical Designers for our Arlington, VA office. Be involved in projects with our Property and Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. WSP works closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.

You will work with a team of experienced engineers with great mentorship skills and exciting projects in the field of building construction, including HVAC, Plumbing, Lighting, Fire Protection, and Power Distribution Systems.
Complete training and support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
Learn basic principles of design in your discipline of engineering.
Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Recent graduate or May 2023 Graduate in an accredited Undergraduate or Graduate program.
Internship experience in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD software.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
