This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Lead Environmental Consultant to support our Massachusetts operations, in our Boston and Worcester offices. Be involved in projects with our Earth and Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 
The successful candidate will provide technical direction and lead client-facing teams in the investigation, design, implementation, and management of impacted site cleanup.  They will also provide project leadership for corrective strategies, classification of contaminated materials, development of process and infrastructure, and assisting with recommendations to avert degradation of air, water, and land resources.  They will ensure that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards.
Your Impact

Provide strategic direction on remediation projects, including review of environmental work plans and data analysis and interpretation to determine the next course of action
Manage projects through completion, on time and in budget
Develop business through existing relationships
Supervise, mentor and train junior staff

Who You Are
Required Qualifications

B.S. degree in geology or hydrogeology and must have completed at least one hydrogeology course. 
7 to 10 years of applicable experience 
Knowledgeable about relevant environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
MassDEP Licensed Site Professional
Strong understanding of Massachusetts Contingency Plan, RCRA and TSCA
The candidate must have strong computer and writing skills.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently and show a high level of initiative and attention to detail. 
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

M.S. degree in geology or hydrogeology
Professional licensure and/or certification in related field
Experience managing large-scale remediation projects
Water supply development and permitting experience are not required, but a plus
Proficiency with ESRI’s ArcGIS software is a plus #LI-BJ1
