Be involved in projects with our Power and Energy Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Manager for our Binghamton, NY office. 
This is an excellent opportunity for a proficient project manager with a proven track record to support the expansion of WSP project management capabilities for a national client base in an internationally recognized global firm.  
 
Your Impact

Responsible for all aspects of the successful completion of assigned projects including:

Cost /Budgeting and Management
Communication Management
Change Management
Schedule Management
Construction Management Oversight
Commissioning Management Oversight
Risk Management
Regulatory and Stakeholder Management

Effective leadership in a matrix organization.
Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects – defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget
Managing Teams – facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0
Management of third-party projects including other transmission owners and interconnecting customers
Some travel is anticipated.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
7 to 10 years of relevant post education experience in power systems engineering
PMP required.
Strong background and knowledge of all discipline
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Non – Technical Skills

Problem Solving / Analytics – Advanced
Written & Verbal communication – Advanced
Stakeholder Management – Advanced
Business Partner Relationship Management – Advanced
Interpersonal Skills – Advanced
Leadership – Advanced
Business Acumen – Advanced

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.
The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States, or be able to obtain work authorized status in the United States prior to the start of employment. This role is eligible for employment visa sponsorship for eligible and qualified candidates.
