WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil-Arch Inspector for our Newark Airport Client office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Services Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Provide assistance to PANYNJ Project Manager, RE as directed
Assist in coordinating contractor’s daily work activities
Help to resolve design issues and questions from contractor
Review Project Drawings and submittals, Inspect delivered materials
Inspect installation of materials, equipment, assist EIC with coordination of Commissioning requirements coordination of Civil/Architectural installations with General construction and overall management of the New Newark Liberty Airport Terminal 1 Project.
Review payments for accuracy and provide recommendation to EIC for payment.
Provide updates and review project schedules for accuracy and completeness. Draft reports as required.
Help draft RFP’s for all architectural trades.
Manage, focus on Civil / Architectural components for various contractors
Assist with additional multi trade projects with Civil / Architectural components.
Actively track, monitor, research validity and compliance with Contract documents for all work from inception to final closure.
Inspection Civil / Architectural components. Track Punch list
Communicate with Contractors and project team.
Who You Are
Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large scale building/rehabilitation projects, Civil/Architectural
Minimum 5 years of experience as an superintendent or inspector on large scale, multi-contract building projects
High School Diploma
Proficient in basic computer skills utilizing Windows/Outlook/Word/Excel and scheduling applications
Proficient level of knowledge relative to all aspects of construction management and supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Normal Work Hours M-F, but may be called after hours or on weekends for occasional emergency projects.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Experience with E-Builder Submittals / RFI’s preferred but not mandatory
Experience with agency construction preferred but not mandatory
Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not mandatory
OSHA 30 Hour training preferred
