This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Senior Consultant, Project and Construction Management for our Washington, DC office.  The following locations will also be considered: Remote. Be involved in projects with our Research and Innovations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 
Your Impact
Job Responsibilities:

Participate as an active member of a project team and be able to work independently.
Conduct high-quality independent technical research on various highway infrastructure topics, including formulating and implementing research approaches; conducting comprehensive literature reviews, case studies, questionnaire interviews, and surveys; organizing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data; produce technical work products; and, and contribute to technical reports.
Contribute to technical proposals in response to Request for Proposals, including formulating review client requirements, conduct background research, developing work plans, and drafting responses.
Provide technical and project management support, as necessary, on various on-going projects, such as planning, coordinating, and leading meetings and work sessions with clients, partners, and other stakeholders; tracking, managing, and reporting of on-going activities; and related documentation.
Present technical information at client meetings and virtual/in-person workshops and training events.
Perform additional responsibilities and support other team members as required by business needs.
Occasional travel as demanded by the project requirements.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications

5+ years post graduate expereience directly relating to this field.
Master’s degree in construction or civil engineering with a specialization in construction management, transportation engineering, project management, or related fields. PhD is preferred.
3+ years of research and/or consulting experience.
Interest or experience in building information modeling.
Demonstrated research skills and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including lead authorship on technical publications.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to think creatively, work independently, and deliver high quality work with minimal supervision.
Problem-solving and strategic planning ability.


Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in construction or civil engineering with a specialization in highway construction management, transportation engineering, project management, or related fields.
Prior experience in civil integrated management or related areas as a lead researcher or consultant.
Demonstrated knowledge and competence in advanced technical analysis methodologies, such as geospatial and non-geospatial data analysis, and/or risk modeling, and and experience with building information management, construction management and risk management tools/applications and technologies.
Familiarity with project development, construction and maintenance of highway infrastructure projects.
Knowledge in data management and governance and related skills is a plus.
Demonstrated experience with writing research papers published in peer reviewed journals.
Membership in technical committees of professional organizations.
