WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Technical Engineering Support Assistant for our New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Properties & Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. We work closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects.
Process and monitor clients’ construction review submissions for projects we have designed. This includes electronic copies of large-scale drawings and product information for specific projects.
Distribute, collect, log in, and log out clients’ submittals to multiple project teams (and multiple disciplines on a project).
In a custom data base, log in all submittals into Newforma. Send to reviewer for each project.
In a custom data base log out of reviewed submittals based on review schedule.
Upload engineer reviewed documents to various client data exchange sites.
Maintain central transmittal file of items being currently reviewed.
Run multiple weekly reports for each project on reviewed and outstanding submittals.
Maintain active central projects file.
Managing the filing space available.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
High School Diploma
0 to 2 years of relevant experience
Ability to successfully interact with project teams and external clients
Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience
Attention to detail. Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately
Strong organizational skills
Proactive work manner. Multitask when required
Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Associate’s Degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
